Multiple supermarkets, the B'Kara Bypass retail area, a health centre, several good schools, band clubs, a weekly open market for fresh produce, and a solid selection of local restaurants. One of the more self-sufficient towns on the island.
Bus routes run in all directions from B'Kara, making it one of the better-connected inland towns. The bypass road provides good car access to the rest of the island. Parking is easier here than anywhere in the harbour belt.
