    Sannat is a small hilltop village on the southern tip of Gozo, and its defining feature is the Ta' Ċenċ plateau — a flat expanse of limestone clifftops above the sea that is, by a reasonable argument, the most dramatic landscape in the Maltese Islands. The cliffs drop vertically into the water, the plateau stretches out flat and bare, and on the right evening the light does something to the stone that rewards anyone who makes the effort to be there.
